At Smiley Pool Services, a growing family-owned company serving Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, Sarasota, and surrounding communities, we're looking for someone to lead our repair division and help us continue delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Why This Role Is Different

This position is about more than repairing pool equipment. You'll be trusted to:

• Manage your daily schedule and service route efficiently
• Work closely with the General Manager to oversee and grow our repair division
• Make sound decisions in the field with minimal supervision
• Serve as the go-to expert for complex equipment diagnostics and repairs
• Communicate professionally with customers and vendors
• Help improve systems, processes, and overall service quality

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial pool equipment
• Service DE filters, saltwater systems, heaters, automation systems, pumps, and filtration equipment
• Install pool lights, heaters, salt systems, pumps, filters, and other equipment upgrades
• Perform Pentair and Jandy warranty repairs
• Inspect equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Document work performed, customer communication, and job notes using our company app (iPhone provided)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked repair truck
• Support and collaborate with our service technicians as needed
• Run a pool service route when necessary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on pool equipment repair experience (required)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
• Experience with a wide range of pool equipment repairs and installations
• Leadership mindset with a desire to help build and grow our repair department
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Clean driving record and ability to operate a truck and trailer
• Willingness to work flexible hours when needed
• Ability to pass a background check
• A reliable, positive, "get it done" attitude

Schedule

• Full-time, salaried position (40 hours per week)
• Typical start time: 7:00 AM
• Based out of our Lakewood Ranch warehouse
• Service area includes Lakewood Ranch, Bradenton, Sarasota, and surrounding communities
