SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for leading and coordinating all phases of pool construction for both residential & commercial swimming pool and water features.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead & coordinate commencement of job, excavation, steel installation, gunite application or concrete pour, plumbing, electrical, equipment installation, and startup.
  • Manage team of workers, including subcontractors, work schedules, project progress, and safety standards.
  • Optimize work flow efficiency and resource availability.
  • Come up with project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
  • Ensure timely and efficient communication with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal team members.
  • Monitor progress on the job.
  • Resolve or address challenges in a timely manner to minimize delays and avoid set-backs in schedule.
  • Work with Accounting & Estimating team to forecast progress billing and manage financial planning.
  • Understand plans and identify possible changes needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises sub-contractors within the Construction Department
  • Manages field employees within Construction Department
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 10 years of Pool Construction Experience
  • Pool Construction knowledge.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, licenses, and registrations preferred:

    • OSHA 30
    • Project Management

Computer skills required/preferred:

    • Spreadsheet Software (Excel);
    • Project Management Software;
    • Word Processing Software (Word);
    • Electronic Mail Software (Outlook);
